Streeterville is always changing—new shops and restaurants, building projects, public-way improvements and neighborhood initiatives. Here’s the latest including where to shop and dine in Streetervile:

Construction continues on the new 400 N Lake Shore Dr. building – The 858-foot tower will deliver 635 dwelling units at the mouth of the Chicago River, including 127 apartments set aside as affordable. There will be about 300 parking spaces located underground.

DuSable Park coming soon DuSable Park is a long-awaited 3.44-acre project located at 451 N. DuSable Lake Shore Drive, designed to honor Chicago’s founder, Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable, and his wife, Kitihawa. Construction is expected to start in early 2026, with anticipated completion by summer 2027, featuring a boardwalk, landscaped walking paths, and a pavilion. The project received crucial approvals from the Chicago Plan Commission in late 2025 and is in the final stages of approval before construction begins.
